Campus Guides/Ambassador at Lake Tahoe Community College
Class of 2019
Hometown: Visalia, CA
LTCC is way more personable than a lot of colleges in California. Because of our small size, making friends, connections, and succeeding is easier. It feels like home here.
Continuing my education was much cheaper at LTCC. It's a small, personable college with friendly staff and faculty ready to help you succeed. The environment felt natural and comfortable for someone like me. Attending a new school is intimidating, but LTCC felt less intimidating than a big college or university. It seemed like a safe place; like a second home.
I've taken so many classes it's hard to choose just one favorite. I enjoyed taking Math with Wynn Walker, English with Michael O'laughlin, Botany with Sue Kloss, Web Design with Mike Spina, Japanese with Naomi Green and more. I don't think there was really a class or professor I didn't like or wasn't fond of.
I didn't want to be involved in Student Life events, clubs, or anything. I was a quiet student who just wanted to finish classes and transfer. Now I love attending events. I enjoy talking to people and being involved.
